Get your taste of Wikipedia

After talking with some folks around the Law School about Wikipedia, it became apparent that not enough people know about this resource. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia that can be edited by anyone. The title stems from the word 'wiki' which is defined as "a type of website that allows users to easily add and edit content." A wiki (What I Know Is) is designed for collaborative writing.

The concept of Wikipedia is neat; anyone can create or edit any portion of the online encyclopedia. Wikipedia uses a powerful revision history database to allow an administrative group of people to revert any changes made to the database. Changes to the encyclopedia are under constant review by the aforementioned administrative group as well as thousands of other Wikipedia editors around the globe and, potentially, you!

So, take a little time and visit http://wikipedia.org today. Use their powerful search tool to look something up for your own reference or sign up and begin contributing to the already vast knowledge pool on the perpetual interweb!

Whenever I visit wikipedia, usually from a search engine query, I tend to spend a good hour, or so, digging through all the other off topic publications. This site is truely revolutionary, and a great deal of fun. Thanks for spreading the word heck!
